Anyone that knows the town must also know the through flow of HGV's and Maybole should have had a bypass

What's cheaper 20mph limit or a bypass?

 

the air will be just lovely with all those hgvs crawling through town.

They crawl and sit waiting anyway because the road is not clear like in the pictures, drivers with cars park at the kerb

on one side at the narrowest part. That means it is single file.

So if they did a bit of compulsory purchasing and knocked down some property just near the main road and provided parking  people would get to the shops,

then they could do a clearway the length of the road and you would be able to do 20 mph through the town.

Those who know Largs and Oban will know that there are parts of the main streets in those towns where actually reaching 20mph during shopping hours is improbable at best!
