Not sure if it's been mentiond yet, but a support bracket is also needed at the bottom of the turbo, not sure if your old one can be used or not but for all mine I've had to make my own.

I posed this question to XMAN, and he said the tubular is fine to support the whole weight of the turbo. Hope he's right!

Darkside told me the same and I have no support.  Apparently it can be bad to bracket it as it doesn't allow natural movement of the turbo for when the manifold warms up and cools down.  Probably talking just mm, but stopping mm can cause cracks. :)

I made up a bracket for the turbo to block,as you need to use Allen cap head bolts to hold the manifold to the head you are already using a weaker fixing than the factory studs and nuts with a way heavier turbo!

Well there we go then, people running both, take your pick! :D

Ok i will make a call on this at the time- hav'nt even seen the parcel with the turbo manifold etc yet, cant wait to get home tomorrow and open it up!

Yeah there is,deffo worth having a EGT for mapping.

Ref fitting the tubular to the head you will need to use allen socket head bolts,so you need to remove your current exhaust studs from the head.(unless xman has revised the manifold flange)

Do the exhaust manifold studs have a torx in the end to ease getting them out? I can't quite see with the engine in.

Nope. Just tighten 2 nuts together on the thread and then you can unwind them.

Take your time though as the head is aluminium remember!

OK cheers thought that might be the case! I remember some Ford one i think that had a torq - but typical Germans hav'nt thought of that!

They were probably busy plotting how to lower their emissions :D

Where is the oil return from?

Everything in the pic is from xman. Impressed with the welding on the manifold and downpipe- they look good value
