I think the big question is who's isn't?.

yeah, oddly enough some of the newer models have a different engine type !!

I'd be very surprised if most other manufacturers weren't doing the same to be honest.

It's the problem with standardised tests, companies will design their products to perform best on paper - it's why mpg never matches the quoted government figures, the cars are designed to do best on those exact test requirements, not in "real life".

It is a commonplace in modern life with targets and key performance indicators, they encourage those with ability to game the system rather than just doing their best to perform well-the failing is rooted in the belief that all society's problems can be solved if only targets are set.

There is a long thread elsewhere that they have requested is the ONLY one to be used!!

I don't think we will know the full impact of this until the other manufacturers have been investigated too. It could have an impact for VW, all VAG diesels or many others too.

It could also have an impact on residuals I guess - those with a lease or PCP with a GFV can perhaps breath a sigh of relief!
