Engine management issues

Featured Replies

I own and drive a 2007 Skoda Roomster which is in essence a Fabia. Very recently A red door/bonnet/boot light stayed on when all doors were shut. This I believe is due to the boot switch not sending the signal back to turn off the interior boot light and the dash light. Just now I am getting a red brake warning light along with a yellow ABS light and a yellow ESP light. Have consulted the 'manual' which recommended checking the brake fluid. This seems normal. On driving to the garage another yellow light appeared, the speedometer stopped working, the information on the dash such as time, tank range, mpg etc were all reading nonsense. At the garage the mechanic's diagnostic machine failed to 'communicate' with the car. He checked the strip fuses on the battery which were OK.

Can anybody out there shed any 'light' on this one other than a warning light!

With thanks in advance

esp can come on if brake light bulbs and or switch is faulty. brake light warning light could be worn pads. seems you got a lot on though so may be faulty sensors or something.
