Scout -Off Road mode?

Scout - Off Road mode - what is it and what's it supposed to do? Dealer couldn't give me a sensible answer.

According to this web page:

"Getting across the difficult stretches of rough terrain is made easy by ŠKODA Offroad mode, which combines several functions. When the Offroad mode is selected, the ECU adapts the response of the throttle and brake assist systems.
  • Hill-hold assistant helps driver when starting up the hill.
  • For better acceleration on the soft or slippery surface, the ASR system allows for more wheelspin.
  • Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) has quicker and more intensive responses in the Offroad mode.
  • Descent assistant keeps constant speed by braking the wheels. This lets driver focus completely on the driving and choosing the right path.
  • To enhance the braking, the ABS settings are changed to facilitate the wedge effect – braked wheel is kept locked for a longer time, so it forms a wedge of the material in front of itself."

Hope that helps...
