Looks good! I did the same, in that I removed them but I used high temperature gloss black paint. I think they look awesome :)

Looks great. But think it suits lighter coloured cars better. Not sure it'd suit my Metal Grey as much.

Thanks all.  Think they were pretty much the only chrome thing on the car, so looked a little out of place with all the white and black.

 

Now to find some anthracite wheels at a reasonable price...!

yes I have done mine as well, along with a new defuser and MORE importantly a twin outlet exhaust - so no more dummy exhaust outlets for TDI. I am very pleased, but it was not a cheep fix! pic have already been posted.

Yep, black bumper protector was from Superskoda (OEM p/n 5E9064711RS).
