what a great article :) thanks Geo.... just shows how different the CTHE engines are.... I will be going down the tuning road  with my engine at some point, will deffo specify better oil seals when I get a hybrid turbo.... at the stage I'm at with a custom exhaust , leaving the standard downpipe and cat should be sufficient! after the hybrid, i will use a jetex downpipe and sports cat....

interesting on the NGK7's , I knew why they were a better plug, BUT didn't know that it could cause a lumpy cold start..... good to know thats not misfire death!

any other seat info you can find will be useful to us all :) thanks again :)

No prob Sharkrider, as for hybrib I think I'll b going Garrett gt28 supposed to be better and cheaper than the hybrib. Still don't know if the cthe can b mapped yet

Soz I'll rephrase what I said

Vw polo twincharger cthe remapped yes, its been done.

Seat Ibiza cupra twincharger cthe remapped yes,its been done.

Skoda fabia vrs twincharger cthe remapped, no not yet.

You need to remember that when they introduced the CTHE in the Skoda Fabia vRS late 2012,

it was the Revised engine and it had a Different ECU.

Some had issues still.

When i was buying a New 2013 Seat Ibiza Cupra at Launch, launch was delayed and the cars were not available in February for delivery to customers, but Journalists were driving ones..

The ECU & Map was the different 5-6 months latter in the SEAT from the Fabia CTHE last quarter 2012.

Seat also gave different official emissions figures to the 2013 Ibiza Cupra the same Min 180 ps figures, but gave it 1 class lower VED / Co2 Grams / KM.

Same as the Polo GTI & A1 185ps has from launch,  and the Seat Ibiza FR 1.4 TSI 150 ps Twincharger had.

139 instead of 148 Grams, CAVE / CTHE which Skoda never changed.

Then some CTHE 2013 on got Software Updates, but not ones from Sept 2012 - Summer 2013.

Some Polo GTI 1.4TSI Twincharger that were remapped in South Africa were less than the minimum 180ps in the first place as far as i can see.

Skoda CZ just fitted the Updated Engine 2012 and New Engine Management then changed it a bit,

never bothered to tell the Motoring Journalists by a Media Release, so they noticed nothing different.

What VWG dont say, they never bother their back ends to find out.

Video is just here because of Rebecca.

Have seen Lucifers comments a long time ago and made note. Having a mid 2012 build CAVE it has been pretty good to me so far. Given that it has all all the updates I am not worried. Looking at a project 2013 car at the moment...that has me more worried...lol.

Exhausts, exhausts, exhausts... Have I got a light blub idea for you Dave. As usually I will test it out myself and let you know...for now lets call it a super hybrid...hahaha. Just delete your resonator for now and stay tuned.
