Octavia VRS Seats - which are most comfortable?

Featured Replies

Apologies if this is in the wrong place!    I have a Mk1 Octavia VRS, I am probably going to swap it for either a MK1 or MK2 estate VRS.    My question is. which seats are the most comfortable, the mk1 or mk2?  (std seats, not LE or leather etc).   I realise this is subjective, but I just wanted to get an idea, I have back problems so this is important.    I will be trying some out, but short test drives dont often tell you much in that department!

I find the driver's seat in my 2012 MkII FL vRS very comfortable; even when driving long distances in France.  At least it was comfortable until it suffered the common problem of the side bolster collapsing inwards due to a fault with the side airbag shield.  Despite the fact that Skoda issued a technical bulletin (TPI 2024859/1) about this fault in 2010, and my car was built in 2012, Skoda are currently still insisting that as my car is out of warranty that I pay over £300 for a repair.

Make sure the Mk2 lumbar adjustment works. Most of them don't.

Thanks both, very interesting.   The lumbar adjustment point is a very good one, i might not always think to check that!     Anyone else?   :)
