Sorry no proper idea of what that "three shooter" is, but reading your posting before signing in, I did guess correctly what you were talking about!

Me too, I guessed what you were asking about. I have wondered what a baroque trumpet is doing under the bonnet of a 1.2 TSi. Maybe it plays its tune as the revs rise. Does anyone know what the real purpose is?

I have the same on my engine,next time at the dealers will ask what is & what does...VERY curious !

I guess they are dampers to prevent air vibrating in the inlet galleries.

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Real world range from hybrid battery?

I'm driving a 2024 1.5 TSI PHEV (plug in hybrid) superb estate. I've never plugged it in though, only ever driven it on petrol. The manufacturers claimed battery range is 75 miles but can anyone tell me what I can expect in the real world? Just for info... Over the 20 months I've had it I average about 40/41mpg. It drops to about 36/38mpg in winter and up to 44/45mpg in summer.

Evening, just looking to see if anyone is experiencing the same issue as me with my Karoq 1.5 Tsi (73 plate)…. So the car has perhaps half a dozen times or more cut out completely when slowing down, no stall / kangaroo or otherwise, power simply gone, resulting in me having to restart the car when in a rolling motion. Very unnerving especially with traffic approaching. I’ve tried to recreate the event on quiet roads with no success so I’ve no idea what action causes this. I had thought
