That's all I use in the VRS. Change the oil and filter myself every 5000 miles.

That's £4.24 wasted then!  :D

Ah the post without any useful information, don't you just love them!

OK, £4.24 = 1 pint of premium lager.

Saving money is for the most, useful.

You have made a good point. Maybe I should have made it more clear. In this case, maybe the reply without info is a complete waste of time. Where do you get this oil cheaper anyway. It might be useful to other members, do you not think.

Then again, maybe I am just totally confused, so I will just backtrack a little.

5L Asda own brand VW507 currently £19

Apparently Asda oil is made by Texaco.

Cardiff Audi still has the Quantum Longlife for sale on their ebay site. You'd struggle to go any cheaper than this.

All the information was already in the thread.

Someone suggested Shell Helix at £29.99 which you bought...

Thanks for the heads up on this, just now ordered some from there.

But the post prior to this had Quantum (Castrol) which is what the main dealers use for £25...

I was merely pointing out that you could save over £4 by buying the Quantum instead of the Shell.

Just following the flow of the posts.

Anyway I need to now go back and edit the £4.24 to £10.99!

I've just bought 20 litres from Cardiff Audi. Cheapest I could find without moving from the sofa and got to me in a couple of days :)

first post the oil is 33.99, post 2 is 29.99. That's GBP4 difference. I'm not sure where the 24p comes into it but does it matter?

If you complain about every "odd" post you will slowly go insane ;-p

Post 4 is where the 24p came from.

I bought 5L from them last week.

A true Yorkshire Lad.... Sliver  :D

This oil last about 5k km.

I bought Octavia from Germany and there was Shell engine oil in for 11k.

There is result from oil analysis lab. Hard to say what previous owner did with the car.
