Too good to be true?

Featured Replies

If it seems too good to be true.. It usually is...

Or the price is wrong and gets corrected.

But when i see Cheetham it rings warning bells.

But then UK.Linkedin.com has a Adrian Cheetham around West Yorkshire,

& another one comes up in a Commercial Website. Doncaster.

Just message the seller if interested, looks like price wrongly advertised or a scam.

But MOt'd. Taxed & Insured.

89.000 mile, first registered Dec 2010.    Barge Pole or worth a punt?

If the price is right it could be worth a punt but I think I'd be scared of something going wrong and being stuck with a big bill

I suppose if it has managed to get to 89,000 miles... ;)

Well it has done nearly 90,000 miles now, and it could be an oil burner. And I can't tall for sure but it looks like the bonnet doesn't line up properly with the lights and the wings, especially on the left of the car. Would have to see it in person though because it could just b the camera angle but you never know.

Looks great. I could not see the pictures last night.

(If it has been through a hedge backwards, hardly an issue, so have many Fabias.)

Rainsport 2 Tyres (or at least 1 Tyres),   Needs new Discs maybe.

It is pictured @ a VW Dealership. (Means Nothing!)

If it has a Full Service History you can maybe buy a 'Skoda Extended Warranty'.

Price looks like a mistake, but you never know.

An Engine can be bought for £3,000 if there is no Warranty cover.

A DSG can be replaced by Skoda if there are Faults, and the Service Campaign has been done or not.

Also doesn't mention reason for sale"best car ever had, love it etc" still might be worth a phone call!

Feedback is pretty good. Surely you can find out more about this.

It is 5 years old and with 90000 miles so sounds about right to me. 2013 with 18k is only worth 7.5k trade in....

Thats somebody chancing their arm offering that Trade in, or does not care if they get the car.

WBAC gives £6,000 on a 2010 with 2 Previous Keepers, and 90,000 miles.

Or they were until recently.

EDIT.

Sorry,  my bad.

They are offering only £3,500 on that one,

when done with 2 Owners and FSH.   So that makes it worth easily £5,000, since WBAC are not a charity.

If it has had a new engine already, or maybe a new DSG then its might be as well buying that as a cheaper older one

rather than a newer one for twice the money that can not get an Extended Warranty on it.

might be worth a few quid on a hpi / history check to see if cat c/d or something else hidden

If you were looking at maybe buying it,

and that has crossed my mind.

But what difference does it make with a cheap car if it was a Cat C/D Write off if now MOT'd,

(Best put it in for another MOT if the seller will let you, before changing money, that can be £57 well spent.)

you do not even need a VIC doing now when you buy one and repair it.

You buy on what the car is now, not what it has been in the past 5 years.

Other than if you want to buy a Warranty, you need to know the Service & Warranty History, and if the ECU has had a Remap on it.

Lots of cars like a Twincharger can be in an accident and repaired / rebuilt and the Insurance companies were never involved

if an Insurance Claim was not made.

You want to check so you know there is no Finance on a Car, Loans borrowed using the car.etc.

If all checks out okay, it could well be a good buy for someone.

Buy it, drive it, put a few K on the clock n enjoy it.. Then sell it for abit more.

Everybodys happy?
