Has anyone fitted spot light brackets on an Octy ? I want to fit some 'proper' spots ( super oscars or similar hella jobs) and would like to know if there is a specific bracket available, or if I should fabricate my own ...

The shape of the bonnet is a big limiting factor , especially in respect of how to fit the threaded top light angle adjusters ( or steady bars ) !!!

Any help ??

I was going to suggest DT and fit a bonnet pod - it's much neater.

The Hella pod DT sell is only available for the felicia and fabia so you'd have to email them about the PIAA unit they sell.

I like the spots that the new mini did as an extra,thought they suited the car well.

Whether the little things produce any light,I don't know

Depends on the bulbs, I personally like the thoroughly illegal for road use 130w ones

I would look at buying another grille off eBay or breakers, and mounting the lamps and steady bars to that... its only a couple of bolts to swap the grilles over, and you can keep your orginal one for 'best'

You could get a new bumper section and integrate them into that?

Really like the ones mounted in the bumper but i think that they fall foul of the lighting regs for road use ... anyway it s a - ahem - a works motor, so i think that mebbe the alternative grille might be the way to go ..........
