Candy White or Laser White?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I ordered a new Superb Combi in Candy White but i'm thinking now should I have gone with Laser White. For some reason when I see the Candy White on other Skoda models there seems to be a 'yellow' tint off it or is it just me. I haven't seen any pics of the Laser White but wonder would it be a brighter white? Anyone got photos of this paint finish?? What do you guys think?

I think Candy is a metallic ( I think ). The other is not and would probably appear brighter. Candy looks lovely in the sunlight ..

They (Candy & Laser) are both non-metallic, there is a moon white metallic but i ve blown my budget on options so can't afford the extra €600 for metallic paint

Candy white is slightly 'creamy'.

Go for red then ;-)

...& Laser White??

Saw the two colours side by side at a dealers.

Laser White is the sharper/colder white of the two.

Candy white, which I have on my car, looks surprisingly off white in a direct comparison.

Thanks Kev, going to ring my dealer & change to Laser White, think it will look better as that would annoy me.

No it isn't metallic, it's a dull, off white colour. Lazer is whiter with a hint of blue.

Why comment when you have no idea what you are on about

Is the Laser White an option for a UK car yet ?

Dealer says its too late as my car is 'Scheduled' I only ordered it on the 28th of last month!

Definition of Dull - Lacking brightness, vividness, or sheen.

I've got a Candy White car... had it for nearly 4 years now and it lacks none of the above.

Why make dull comments when you have no idea what you are on about..... jeeez !

No. Probably confusing it with Candy and Moon as they are the two UK white options.

Ireland and France and probably some others have all three whites as an option - Candy/Laser/Moon, whilst Germany doesn't have Candy.

Ouch that told me ! ;-)

I don't know if it still works these days but my Dad had a white Rover 827 in the early 2000's.  It used to part traffic like the red sea - the faster you drove it on the motorway the more effective it was as people took one look in their rear view mirror and were straight out the way and down to 70mph whilst you whistled past.

Am sure it was mere coincidence that many Police forces used to use white Rover 800s at the time...

No one else would buy em......
