vredestein quatrac 5

Featured Replies

anyone had these on a fabia

friend has them on her car and thinks they great, I hadn't really heard of them but they a well known brand abroad

Not had the quatrac but have run both sportrac3 and hitrac / hitrac2 for years on our fabia and Octavia and they have been excellent. Only moving away from them now as I like directional tyres and the latest version of the spotrac isn't. So I'm going to try the cross climates from michelin

haven't got a clue what directional tyres are, lol what was lifespan of them can I ask.

quatrac 5 is the new allseason tyre

directional means the tyre is designed to rotate in one direction only and they tend to have a 'V' shaped tread pattern for dispersion of water etc.   I was getting about 18,000 miles out of the fronts and probably 30,000 out of the rears.  They are a good brand but less well known than some so you're not paying for the name.  The Quatrac 5's seem to get good reviews but are non directional so I was looking at the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 or the Michelins but the Michelins seem to be edging the tests at the moment.

Got them on my Octavia mk2 and they are excellent. Quiet very good in the wet and dry. No more messing around swapping winter to summer tyres again. Probably the best all-round tyre for the UK climate. And reasonably priced.
