Got my new Octavia VRS 2015 DSG on friday afternoon.Was very happy for my new car

car.

Took it from dealership and on my way to Wiyefs job to show her the car.While driving error message pops up Reverse gear not available?

Pulled over and restarted car,message pops up again.Called dealer,he says bring it in

in.And so i did :(

Only managed to drive nearly 20km with brand my brand new car.

Car was locked in 1st gear.Could not change gear manually either.

I am so dissapointed at the moment :(

That's pretty bad for that to happen straight away on your first drive in her! Have they still got the car in the workshop or did they fix it? Don't let it put you off though, your going to love it I'm sure :-)

Ahh thats really bad :( hope they get it sorted quickly for you. Keep us posted, would be interested to find out what the fault is/was. 

The car is still in shop.They are waiting for reply from factory I think they said.

Directly when i arrived to shop they plugged the car to comp.

I left it on friday aftern,so hopefully some answers today afternoon.

Talked to the shop today.

They have ordered and are going to replace some kind of computer/harddrive that controls the gearbox.

The gearbox it self was all good and no problem with it.

What country are you in?

Not a good advert for DSG...

Picked up the car today.Happy happy happy untill at night.

Made a kickdown and the car revs to the revlimiter.Had to change gear manually.

Couple minutes later on highway I made a kickdown again,around 80-90km/h.Revs stod still 4000rpm and nothing happend in 1-2sec then stared to rev and acc.And now Reverse gear not available AGAIN.Locked on first gear Again.Turned off/on the car and the warning was gone.

Heading home,1 more small kick down at 90km/h.Seems like the gearbox is confused on what gear to pick.Downshift to third and same again,revs stand still and nothing happens 1-2sec.Ended with Warning again but it turned off by it self this time.

First time I hade the car 1hour and today second time 7hours before problems again.

I have not hsde the car 24hours yet and same error 2times.Thinking on giving the car back.

Some major problem there. I would also reject it for a refund.

Yeah that's a rejection for sure, I wouldn't want it fixed and given back again would always bother me it would do it again.

Did they ever find out/tell you what was wrong with it the second time you took it back?

Only thing I know is that they raplaced mechatronic?

Then the gearchanges was very bad from 3-4.And many times it did Klonk sound when shifted to second gear.

Also last day before trading it in the Engine light came on for no reason at all.

Owned the car almost 2weeks and not a day without problems
