Candy White or Metal Grey

Featured Replies

can't make up my mind on what colour....candy white or metal grey?

I realise you have now made a choice, but my answer to the your question would have been 'if you can't make up your mind, go for the one you can get the best deal on!'

As pointed out in other threads, if you are prepared to accept an in-port car and compromise on colour, you have good leverage for freebie extras.

I take it back, Grey is a great colour! That's nice...

Thanks pal. Had mine a few months now and still love the way it looks. My only slight niggle, and it's very slight. Sometimes wish I'd had the balls to choose Rallye Green. But it soon passes. Ha ha!!

I have a metal grey Vrs estate tdI and love it. IMO only other colours worth considering are race blue and meteor grey. All 3 of these rock solid on depreciation. Candy white will plummet and from previous experience, dealers don't offer too much on these!

Candy White will plummet!? I think you're being a bit dramatic now....

Indeed take with a pinch of salt (whether there be any truth about values or not).

I didn't go out looking for black myself, but that was what I ended up with and very happy. Do I care if the value is less or more than another colour? Not a jot.

Just enjoy the car mate, colours are very personal and you obviously picked it because you thought that would be what you would enjoy, just enjoy it. Car colour racists lol.

Hello all, first post here after picking up my new, year old 2.0 TDI elegance estate - in Metal Grey - yesterday!

Purchasing 2nd hand meant colour choosing wasn't an option, but I do like it, a lot.  I'll post a pic if you like, it certainly has a green tinge in the light I took the photo.

Andy

my mates call it a taxi!

I like white but grey hides the dirt better.

(Said having a white mk3 Octavia and Grey mk7 GTD and doing lots of miles in both)

Bit the bullet and put my order in for the Race Blue today in the 1.6 TDI.
