I could be off the mark Joe, but the no boost to boost after cycling the ignition sounds (from my nosing around here...) like sticky turbo vanes... a brisky google for it will show loads

The vRS doesnt have a variable vane turbo so doesnt suffer from this issue on the diesels.

Well just an update for anyone thats interested. Just picked up the car from the stealers. 3 ignition coils changed at a total price of £0.00. Even washed and hoovered it. Oh and a bogus 'health check' thrown in.
