2009 59 VW Polo 1.2 Match 60 £3300 FSH 65k

Featured Replies

Here is my daughter's VW Polo for sale (black).

Good points

It is one of the last facelift Mk4 models, and being the Match model, it has a good spec, including aircon, RCD200 stereo, electric windows, 15inch alloy wheels and two keys. It is the three door model.

It has the simple 1.2 litre petrol engine (so unaffected by the emissions scandal). It has no cambelt and is easy to maintain, and being only 60hp, while not gutless, is a low insurance group, and ideal for a young driver.

It has been well looked after with a full service history, initially on a long life service plan for its first three at 13k, 30k and 47k and since we have owned it, on a fixed service plan (as my daughter does only 8k per year) with services at 55k and 63k, the last being on 29 Septemper 2015, so another is not needed for a while. We also have a receipt for a brake fluid change in August 2014.

I have the last three MOT certificates, all with no advisories, and the next is not due until 30 July 2016, so the only cost to run it in the short term will be tax at £11-12 or so per month (emissions are 138g/km).

The tyres are good, with the front two replaced along with 4 wheel alignment (not just tracking) on a Hunter rig (with printout) on 27 June 2015, and the rears with about 4mm tread each.

I also replaced the starter motor in June 2014 and have a receipt for the part.

There were 2 owners prior to my daughter and she has owned the car for 2 years. She is only selling as she has gone back to college and needs the money released. There is no outstanding finance and we have a receipt showing full settlement but any hpi check is of course welcome (pm me for reg), and I am also happy to carry out a VCDS scan for any prospective purchaser (with my genuine RossTech cable).

Mileage

This is about average at approaching 65k. The car is in use, so will rise slowly.

Bad points

The car came with the old vw interface for the ipod. This relied on the old connector so was useless and so I rewired it into an aux connection which works fine. Sadly it has left a bit of a mark on the dash plastics (will be seen in photo).

The bodywork is on the whole good, but there are some car park scratches and the like commensurate with age (again will be photo'ed).

The wheels are kerbed (but not buckled) and not too badly (photos).

Price

We are selling at £3300 which is cheaper than most other adverts within 50 miles and reflective of the durability and reliability of these cars. We are in no rush to sell so no stupid offers please.

I am happy for any test drive (with valid insurance or else it will be me driving), and as mentioned above for a VCDS scan to be carried out, and I can pick a purchaser up from the local station too. The car is available for viewing in Newport, South Wales (NP20 3..).

Thanks for reading and if you have any questions, please fire away.
