abs & esr lights on

Hi all, can anyone decipher vcds codes have got this message but dont know what it means really ...is my abs pump knackered or does the line that says" asr front" mean a dodgy sensor...  the car is a 1.9 tdi octy estate 2006.  thanks in advance..

That isn't the error code, it's just the description of the ABS pump.

Asr only acts on the front wheels

cheers  am knew to this will try and find the code....

Not seeing the fault codes but ive had the same lights on a few times and its always been a rear hub speed sensor. If it is that £30 and if you have the tools and know how 15minutes changes it.

the codes are  00668 and 00287  rear right  cheers

You can probably ignore the first code but the other two suggest a knackered wheel speed sensor - OSR. it could be the ring in the hub that the sensor "reads" but those two together suggest wiring or the sensor as the cause.

replaced handbrake cable and pads about a month ago....

replaced handbrake cable and pads about a month ago....

The sensor or wiring could have been damaged. Worth jacking it up, taking the wheel off and having a look at the wiring and sensor.
