Well, long story short, I stupidly sold my Bora and bought a Hyundai Coupe SE. That was in July and how I've lasted this long I don't know... 

 

 
Anyhoo, I saw the beauty above and went to take a butchers this afternoon. 

 

After giving her the once over, a test drive etc, as an experienced (but stupid) VAG owner, I have VCDS and a cable, so ran a full scan.

 

All was fine, cleared faults (minor implausible signal waffle), ran the car checking the live data, packed up and paid a deposit.

 

Dropped the guy an email just to clarify something (didn't ask how many keys, remember, stupid above) and he got back to say that the ASR/CEL lights were on when he went to put the car away at the end of the night.

 

I'll be running a scan, but VCDS is 6Y compatible, so not sure why it's now throwing errors, when it wasn't before? 

 

Any thoughts?

What version VCDS do you have?

VCDS Lite 1.2, latest version. 

Might be one of them things, light might clear when he takes it for a drive tomorrow.

Best do another scan and check for yourself. Might have an argument on your hands "well it was fine until you touched it" etc...

Don't have an argument, just pay the balance and take it away. All will be well.

lol I've copied the full scan read out, so I know fine well it was fine before hand  

 

Will take a butchers, but ultimately looking forward to taking it home and settling back into the VAG scene (I really miss it.)
