I have found a great way to clean my car. I wait and wait, until I go down to my parents at a weekend. My dad normally washes his car saturday morning. I park up next to him and when he asks me if I am going to clean it I say no, theres no point. An hour later I come out to find he has cleaned it. It's great and doesnt take much effort.

Theres no way i would trust an automatic washer to clean my car!!

Powerwash to get rid of major crud, followed by hand wash then powerwash to rinse off.

What's the point of washing the car, even if it's only washed with wash 'n' wax, to blast the 'wax' off with a powerwash?

It will then only stay 'clean' until a light breeze blows dust on it, and the dust particles stick to the unwaxed paint, waiting to scratch it next time you powerwash it.:confused:

Octy is just over a year old and 30,000 miles. Not cleaned it yet !! (I did wipe over the numberplates and lights a couple of times in the winter though) Strangely it looks slightly less dirty now than it did in the winter months. I can just make out the Skoda logo on the wheeltrims again.
