Rear wiper when reversing...

Featured Replies

Have they updated the software so that the wiper doesn't do a sweep when you engage reverse? I notice it has stopped doing this (much to my delight as I found it annoying) since the car was in for a service last month.

Not that I know of, does it on mine and I just bought it last month I would have thought if they changed it then mine would have had the update done. Did you have the front wipers on at the time? Because it only did it when they were on. And for the record, I find it annoying too, especially when the window is dirty.

It can also be turned off with VCDS

Yeah apparently it can be done on vcds.

Mine does it and it just does my head in tbh. Smears dirt and i dont even use the middle mirror.

D'oh! Thanks for pointing that out - you're right - front wipers need to be on  . Think I'll lie low for a while.
