New Superb owner.

Update portal tells me new map update available from this month. Next update is 2016, but when I enter VIN number it says the update VIN recognition system is not working !  What can I do to update ?

BURN firmware / maps to disk, do not copy it

Use a good quality disc and burn it as slow as possible. Make sure you "create disc from image" using something like imgburn (free).

If you're looking on the Skoda sat nav portal, that's for the new Superb 3 or Octy 3 Columbus, not the Superb II one

 

That said v13 of the maps for the Superb II Columbus came out a week or so ago, which Stupotpat's links should help with
