good value 18"s for winters

Featured Replies

In the past i've had two (or in fact, several!) sets of wheels, but more recently i've been swapping my winter boots on to and off the oem neptunes - bit of a faff and it bugs me having to pay for the swap..  so i've been on the lookout for some stock-ish sized 18"s to use for the winter.  I couldn't find any oe skoda /vw /audi 18s at reasonable money so i've gone for aftermarket this time.

i thought this was a particularly good deal so i though i'd post it here.  I've used these guys for tyres in the past .. wasnt' an obvious choice for buying rims, and tbh its pretty well hidden on their site, but as they ship direct from Germany and the euro rate is pretty good for us now the price is only £84 a piece, for 18x8 ET45.

hope the link works:

The rim is ATS "Emotion".. ATS are a brand with a pretty good reputation (remember the ATS "cups" that everyone had back in the day on their Mk2 golfs. :)  ) and they're TUV approved.

It's a good looking rim, easy to clean too.  No idea on weight but they're gravity cast so i'd guess it's going to be similar to the neptunes, fine for winter i guess, and you can't knock it at this price :)
