Reversing sensors

Featured Replies

Has anyone had the dealer fit reversing sensors fitted and do they connect to the PID thanks Trevor

my reversing sensors show on the PID with a graphic showing how close you are to things.

I had dealer fit sensors on my previous car and the graphics did not show on the stereo (it was a fabia) - they do not generally work unless they are factory fit.

Ive got dealer fit sensors on my Fabia.

They dont show on the radio like the factory ones do, and it doesnt mute the radio when reversing like the factory does.

The speaker is also in tge boot, as appose to coming through car speakers

alternatley , reach your arm behind you out the window and when your fingers touch a wall, you are about a foot shy of hitting it.

As has been said ref the stereo muting and visual display on the factory fitted ones, I waited 3 months for the Skoda, on our main car we didn't fancy waiting 4 months + for it so opted for dealer fitted ones and a 2 week wait. The ones that were fitted don't mute the radio, but have a visual display on the tailgate headliner (lights that start as one orange led outermost, going more lights towards the middle then red when you get v close) and a decent volume speaker.

I'd previously spent £400 for Toyota factory fitted ones that you couldn't hear, and needed a dealer mod to be able to hear them, stupidly of Toyota, they'd also fitted an uncovered switch in the boot that turned them off in case you were towing, unfortunately it was in a position that shopping could, and did, frequently turn it off.

glad you are happy with it. which citigo did you get - which dealer? I am in bridgwater.

I am in bridgwater.

Can't be as bad as Bournemouth surely? Turned up at KFC tonight to find a guy being arrested outside the door for being aggressive and rude after he was asked to take his dog outside, 2 police cars turned up, 1 dog unit 1 response unit :D

Skoda Citigo SE L 75 Tungston Silver

Eventually had the reversing sensors fitted by my Skoda dealer painted to match body colour Tungston Silver, working fine with sounder installed in the back. Dealer turned on cornering fog lights, auto locking (activates above 15mph), and tear drop wipers (codes provided from briskoda site) thanks for all the advice received
