Another vRS question Part two

Featured Replies

Next question, winter tyres, yes or no?  If yes what size for the vRS?

Mrs Domus has Nokians on 16" steel wheels on her Golf 1.4 TSI and they are great, almost time to get them down from the garage loft and fit them.

I assume I will need 17" at the very least for the vRS.

If you have the space to store the tyres/wheels whilst not being used, then i'd say definitely get winters :)

17"+ for the mk3 and 16"+ for the mk2.

Just get the Nokian Weatherproof all climate tyres fitted to your original rims. I find them excellent

I have winters for my VRS. As said above you'll need 17" rims to clear the front brakes of the MK3 VRS.

I have some 18" CVR 105 alloys with Continential Winter Contact TS830P 225/40R18 tyres on. I think they are very good :)

I bought some. Quite expensive initial outlay but in the long run they cost nothing.

I've got goodyear ultragrip gen 1 with 17 in alloys. 737 with 20 quid tesco voucher but they are meant to be the best on the market.

Perhaps not needed now, today I am fitting the winters to Mrs Domus' Golf.  Bound to be a mild winter now.
