Stop start

Featured Replies

Fit a tuning box directly to the battery contacts, it'll see the slight power drain and never cut in again.

Hmm, get that wrong and it would be "stop /never start" :notme:

I've noticed mine has another set of connectors on the side of the battery - presumably to monitor it's condition. What happens if you replace the battery with the same size/ amp hours etc but without this connector?

Dont recommend interrupting a regen, you'll break your DPF.

That I'm afraid just isn't true. If it was there would be a system preventing it. What about mid regen when you get home? What will break, or I should say block your DPF is lots of short journeys without the long runs 3/4 hour runs for a regen to be performed. I say 3/4 hour as the car must be up to temp before a regen will start + regen time. Something else that will kill your dpf is ignoring the DPF warning light, which is something I've never seen, we do regular DPF suitable journeys and spend a lot of time on the motorway which is also DPF friendly, so no I'm not paying for regens whilst idling!

No it won't, i've interupted many in this car and my last vRS without any problems.
