Hi. I have just taken delivery of a new Octavia 5 door 2.0 TDI 150 SE.  I was very wary changing from my much loved Saab Linear Sport, but it's now 10 years old with a whine from the gearbox

 

I must say I'm delighted!  The performance matches well, the ride and handling is as secure and if anything, it's even more comfortable.  We were lucky in going to the showroom as they had the SE that I wanted in a limited edition that included cruise control, metallic paint and steering wheel controls for the same price. Unusual for my luck.

 

Anyway, I have a feeling that I am going to be just as impressed with this as the Saab, and am looking forward to the chance for a good run and tryout later today.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.  Took it for a good run today and the only gripe that even picky I could find is that the switch and light for the heated rear window could be clearer in the dark.  I can say goodbye to my Saab without any regrets
