Cheers Chris. I'll have a look. I want to buy another wax too but unsure what to go for. Durability is pretty important as I don't get chance to keep re waxing or washing for that matter! Have looked at 1000p (FK) but something stops me hitting the payment button!

As Gizmo says...Its good

Its a sealant...so you can add a wax over the top after a few hours for extra durability

I'm going to have to disagree here...Its a blend of synthetic materials...no natural contents at all

Hmmm tough one.

 

BH Finis will be more durable but FK is more versatile in terms of being used on wheels etc.

Hey Andy. FK1000p is certainly one I would go back to again and again.

Just recommended it to a friend over the weekend who has bought his first car!

Just a misconception people have.

Misguidance rather than misconception

Further research has revealed that its a synthetic carnauba...not a natural one

FK1000P is made from a synthetic form of carnauba wax. They claim higher purity from the synthetic form. The high purity gives it high melting point and forms a hard shell. The chemical composition is supposed to same as the natural carnauba. Its still lipids and fat molecules. And there are polymer sealants added to it as well.

Not all sealants are synthetic wax. Most are polymer based usually using some form of silicone or acrylic.

 

That possibly how they get around the Trade Description laws

At the end of the day...it makes no difference whatsoever

It still a good 'Sealant' and very durable and a good base for any 'Pure' wax or QD

I love FK1000p. Leaves a decent finish too.

 

I prefer Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid, which is just as versatile, but was more durable for me with a nicer finish. But you cannot beat FK1000p for value!

I have been using Slickrims (waxaddict) stuff recently and its brilliant. Better than anything ive used before.

 

The tyre feeder is my favorite.
