Bolero not displaying Asian characters

Featured Replies

How to make Bolero display Chinese, Korean etc. song titles? Is there a language pack or something that could be installed?

My iTunes displays them without a problem.

Anyone? :/

It's really annoying to see only squares instead of artist/song/album titles...

I would say the best people to ask would be at the dealership you bought it from or any Skoda dealership, it's possible that the head unit simply doesn't recognise Asian lettering in ID3 Tags so it just defaults to the boxes you're seeing.

I called the dealership where I bought my Fabia and as expected they didn't know if it was possible. They said they'd check if there are any updates available online (like Asian language pack) though they said it most likely won't be possible and I'm pretty skeptical myself about it.

Is there an official Skoda email address where I could send my inquiry to?

It's probably because the software doesn't support the required version of ID3 tags (see here) and/or the font doesn't support the characters.
