Skoda finance centre IT issues

Featured Replies

My dealer are telling me there have been issues with the skoda/VW finance centre this week and it's preventing them processing the finance(lease) paperwork and registering my car.

Anyone else heard of this? Very annoyed as have taken a days leave to collect the car and insured it only to be told it might not be ready for another week.

I'm sure the "IT issue" is someone not reading/sending an email/fax to someone else and therefore not signing off your finance rather some meltdown of a server room.

My PCP was set up this week with no problems, car has been registered, just got to collect it tomorrow  :D

Why not call or Email Skoda UK Customer Services in Milton Keynes and ask them it the Skoda Finance Centre is having IT problems?

Best to know if the Dealership Employees are being honest.

Good point. Will do that now

Done. No "IT" issues but they are very busy. So half true(ish)

Strange, my dealer had IT issues and they had to wait a week for someone to install a new computer before they could order mine. There is a bit of a whiff of something smelly if you ask me. Probably trying to space out the orders as others have previously suggested.

That is life i suppose.

As the Skoda UK and other VW Group Sales drop they are too busy to cope.

Or they are holding back First Registrations over each month to keep the figures looking good.

They will be First Registering lots of Skoda Demonstrators and Management cars in December and Jan / Feb next year as well.

Further dealer update this morning (after chasing) is that this is specifically relating to personal contract hire finance contracts. Apparently there are hundreds if not thousands of people affected due to the "IT" issues skoda financial services are having on these contracts. Still smells a bit funny to me.

As my old car has been sold and goes on Saturday I'll be left carless if the problem isn't solved in time for me to collect the car on Friday.

So the Issue will be the Contracts & future Values, annual costs, VED / Insurance / Taxes to the HMRC etc

because of the CO2 / MPG Irregularities, and VED Bands, Future Values etc etc.

Certain Volkswagen EU Testing & Certification of Euro 6 Engines needing 'Revised',

It would be best if Skoda just said that.

They first Register less than 70,000 Skoda in the UK in a year,  and not all are on the Critical List or bought using Finance,

but many need the V5's changed before being registered.

eg

The Skoda Fabia Brochure from November 2015 shows that the Co2 Figures are not accurate for the

3 Cylinder 1.4 TDI 90 ps Engines.

Makes sense. If they told me that though I'd be a little more understanding.

Blaming the IT system... that old chestnut....

Bugginbob,

Exactly.

But this will be the fault of

Alasdair Stewart

Brand Director Skoda UK.

He could get on with one of his 'News Releases' about something important to customers, facts and figures and timelines,

rather than the Spin that usually goes out on Breaking Records on Sales, Customer Satisfaction, Awards Won etc etc.

Open and honest Retailing of cars to Private and Business users, and to the Official Dealerships.

............

There is a CO2 / MPG EU Certification issue on some VW Euro 6 Engines, mostly Diesel but some petrols,

but Skoda UK seems to be ignoring that fact.
