Lowering vRS 4x4 Estate

Featured Replies

My new ride -  Octavia vRS 184 4x4 DSG Estate is arriving next week (about 4 months earlier that expected).

I want to fit some lowering springs (H&R) on it right away.

Anyone know if the springs for the standard 4x4 will be the right ones? I see the numbers correspond on the 2WD vRS and standard.

At a guess, I would say the fronts will be the same but the rears will be different, due the car having driveshafts on the rear.

What I meant was if the same springs/lowering kit that is offered on the standard Octavia 184 DSG 4x4 would be the right for the vRS 184 DSG 4x4 - or if there are any other differences.

The vRS 4x4 is not in any lists that I have found yet..

28833-2 are the ones for the vrs diesel. Pop them an email And see if they will fit yours. They'll reply really quick

According to H&R 28833-3 is compatible with the new vRS 4x4.

Pictures might come when arrived and equipped with the new springs.

That is just THE best motor. Stunning and 4x4. Great work fella.

that's a great looking mk3.

Nice ride! I've got the same coming in March, can't wait!

Looks like it needs new springs....... Just my honest opinion. I like to get over speed bumps and not worry if the curb I'm parking nose into will damage the front.

How does lowering affect warranties.

How low is that and how does it ride?

Warrenty on suspension parts is only 6 months.........or so many owners on here have been told.

I've got the H&R on mine and it rides lovely. Better than standard, even fully loaded with roof box on it fine.. Speed humps no problem. Front end on kerbs need to be careful. It actually looks lower than it is because the wheels sit well inside the body. it's actually no lower than a bmw or Audi. Be careful of the spring part codes guys. If you have any queries email H&R with your exact model and they will tell you what is needed. All 3 different part numbers for the skoda octavia 5e will use different Spring rates and coil numbers depending on front end weight. The 28833-1 are for the smaller engines 28833-2 for the diesels and vrs and the 28833-3 are for the octavia 4x4 scout not sure if they are speccing those for the 4x4 vrs too. I would think the fronts will be the same as the -2 but the backs might be different to allow for diff and drive shafts

Has anyone fitted eibach lowering springs to s vrs estate tdi

That is far better lower. Almost like the press shots ;)

Any lower and for my tastes it would be wrong. Possibly the angle clashes on the wheels, that and speed bumps ;)

Lovely enjoy it.

Too low for me. It looks like the car is full of people.

I find pothole protection and ride comfort is more useful on a day-to-day basis rather than a little bit less body roll at high speeds.

Each to their own though, enjoy!

Eibach do 2 sorts. Sport line and street I think. One is 20mm more on vrs and one is 30mm I think
