Happy new 1.2 Tsi Roomster owners.

Featured Replies

After waiting a few months and doing a lot of research including lots of information from these forums, my wife and I bought a 1.2 Tsi SE Roomster (86) with manual gearbox. The car was one of the last manufactured and included in the special offer £9995 batch which included a full size spare in the boot. The car had been sitting around since the end of May and nobody had driven it. It had 6 miles on the clock. I drove it home from Scotland today and clocked up it's first 300 miles. We test drove several different versions before deciding which to buy. Initially I thought diesel would be best, but decided to keep things simple and buy the petrol version instead. The lower powered petrol 1.2 engine has perfectly adequate performance for us. It was a joy to drive today, very comfortable, quiet and smooth. We look forward to long term ownership. Thanks to all those who contribute on these forums.

Excellent stuff. Sounds like a great deal too.

The 1.2TSI is a belter even in the 86PS version. Enjoy it!

My sister has one is the special edition ones too, she thinks it's great.

Got the same model. Love it. It is more economical than my sisters 1.0 L Ecoboost Focus

The 1.4 tsi tugs my barge along pretty well so the 1.2 tsi should be pretty good in the Roomster - enjoy!!

Hi Crystball and welcome to Briskoda.

I loved my previous Roomster Diesel - but I love my present Roomster TSI even more.

The TSI engine is a cracker.  Quiet, refined, economical and almost diesel-like in its production of low-rev torque.

With the possible exception of the Yeti (at almost twice the price) I struggle to think of any car that does everything as well as the Roomster.

Enjoy yours!

I've got the 1.2 tsi (105) in my Toledo, a great engine. Enjoy!

I took mine on a tour to Brussels and the Netherlands over 8 days. Perfectly comfortable and stacks of room.

Really like our roomster

Added items to that are not crazy but makes it more enjoyable

Sunblinds full set

W8 interior light

Xenons

Dab

Armrest

Mudflaps

Mouldings

Bumper protector

Kickstrips

Wind deflectors

Only things I would add if I could would be maxidot (not possible on ours according to eddie_NL)

Rood rails would be nice but I loath to pay so much for the template only to be used once

DRL not tacky led strips but oe kit I did look into this but drew a lot of blanks

Plus points are its massive inside and very comfy
