will Octavia RS 2004 have AWD (4x4)?

most rumours suggest there may well not be a vRS in the new model... hope there is.. but dont bet on it.

Because Skoda won't need to make one. The only reason they make RS models is for the purposes of WRC homologation.

I've looked into this and- would you credit it?- 'there's no official confirmaion on the issue as yet.'

I'll let you know if I hear owt, but the guy at Marketing seemed rather surprised that we might *not* produce an 04 vRS.

Correction here, the 04 Octavia is the one you will get if you buy now. IIRC Skoda swaps model year in about July / August.

the RS model will probebly come after 1-2 year of production time after the new octavia platform is released.

Agree with that. I can dream of an RS6 and not be too dissapointed when I wake up and the Octavia is outside.

As regards the future of the RS I'd assume that the new Octavia will not get an RS model on release.

Even the new Golf isn't getting the GTi until later.

I'd think there's still plenty of opportunity to buy an Octavia RS before the new model comes out.

I'm hoping for a 225 bhp 4x4 RS as a last hurrah for the old Octavia, but I doubt it.
