Head light beam

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone explain why there is 3 adjustment s on these head lights please cheers

You mean from inside the car?

If so its in case you have a full boot and its heavy so pushes down and the back end living up the front causing you to dazzle other drivers

There are 3 fixing points on the headlights on virtually any car.

Since cars started carrying internal height adjusters as Paulbrown says you've been able to vary the beam aim with all 3 rather than just 2 of them.

You can adjust the height and side to side movement on dipped beam that's why.

two of the adjustor adjust the vertical / horizontal on the dip beam - these are visable when you open the bonnet one on top of one another on teh inner side of the head light unit. The other back side of the headlight which is by the rubber cap adjust just the main beam vertically
