Octavia VRS Parking sensors front & rear

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Sorry if this topic has been covered elsewhere but I'm looking to buy a newer VRS estate this week & wife has requested front & rear parking sensors installed.

The garage I am buying from is reluctant to assist and I'm certain a DIY install will end in tears so looking for advice.

Car is an O6 plate vrs petrol estate.

Cheers.

Plenty out there with front and rear, I have them factory fitted. Just hang on until one pops up?

i have only seen one preface with front sensors

however the rears were fitted to most i have rears on mine but bot fronts

I fitted rear parking sensors to mine, got a set off ebay for £15,got some paint made up then painted them & fitted them, easy enough job if your handy with the spanners. Ive never seen a pre facelift vrs with front parking sensors,i only wanted rears as i always reverse park & it helps me judge the rear of the car (now im getting older) :D

Factory fit rear sensors are relatively common, unfortunately they were not standard here ion the UK on the vRS so you need to find one that has had then either specced as a factory cost option or retrofitted by a dealer / owner.

Front sensors on any spec MkII Octavia are extremely rare, they are out there but are very few and far between.

I would try and convince the wife that rear sensors will do, this shouldn't limit your search too much assuming you don't fancy fitting an aftermarket kit.

You might find this an interesting read...

And (for the pre-facelift)...

wuld love front sensors on mine

its the only thing its missing!!

I've got one of the few pre face-lifts with front sensors, I find them really useful when maneuvering in tight spaces.

But it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I was looking at a car without them, as long as the rest of the car was the spec I wanted.

To retrofit fronts, I think you just need a different PDC module, 4 sensors, and a front loom and some coding.

woundnt mind maybe looking into getting fronts fitted :)
