Best new battery

I've never doubted Twoladies :hi: .  No-one who wasn't telling the truth would come from Radlett; for goodness' sake, it's inside the M25!

  • Why ask what batteries are the best when the car is only 6 months old? If there is a problem then surely that would be covered by warranty.

What??

You mean there is life inside the M25??

Oh, hang on.

Johann lives inside the M25 (sometimes)

I cannot understand "Sad555"'s continual harping over this.

As someone always up for a good conspiracy theory - how do we know Sad555 isn't really Offnote trying to throw suspicion onto the wholly innocent on the by now probably rather bemused Twoladies?  :giggle:   (Is it me or are we now well off topic?).

How do you know I'm not Offnote?

As Principal Tenor of the Llani Male Voice Choir you just couldn't be!

Sad,cynical,............yes maybe and still not convinced,Skoda has a 3 year breakdown cover ,no need to call the Rac who would inform of any battery problems,if you can research batteries you can RFM.

Huh?  Of course I would need to call the RAC - or Skoda Assist (same?) to get the bally bottom car started!!!

No they are not the same, and the last time I used Skoda Asst the AA were the agent.

In my opinion two ladies is asking the sort of questions a typical female (my wife ) would ask and good luck to her, keep them coming they brighten a dull day.

Hope I have not offended to many technical minded female members of which I believe we have quite a few.

Thank you very muchly!!  I do try to be a little amusing at times, although the basis for my questions are real concerns.

I really thought Skoda Assist Breakdown or whatever its called, is the RAC.

My Primera was serviced annually and the service included Nissan Breakdown, which turned out to be the RAC!!  Just assumed that Skoda didn't have its own countrywide breakdown service! :D :D :D

To save me looking through 300 pages, if I need their breakdown service, what number do I call?  And which company would I actually be calling?  AA, RAC or Green Flag would be my guess.

First diesel car, so I will always call it the petrol station.  Anyway, people would look at me funny if I called it the Diesel Station - hehehe!!!  Or think I was being pretentious!!  Hardly likely though, as its not a Range Rover or Porsch 4x4!!

Right, to set the record straight, I am NOT, repeat NOT, from Radlett.  I live in Bushey Village which is lovely.  My horse lives in Radlett.  Yes, we are within the M25 (just) but that's not a crime as far as I am aware. :p

At 73, its hardly likely I don't know who Del Boy is.  Probably quite a few on here!!

As Sad says, it's the AA now.  They had just taken over from the RAC when I needed assistance a couple of years ago.

Oh please, I didn't question the legality of being or living in, or coming from, Radlett   .  And some very nice horses do, too (be, live, come) - think of the Horseguards and the Met Mounted, for instance  .  And....we used to drive through Bushey many decades ago, on our way to visit friends round our old home - lovely place  .

With regard to satnav, you do have a point.  Mine - probably a cheap knock-off - won't accept destinations inside the M25 other than Heathrow.  And, yes, we do have diesel, although some of us have to plan the two-day round trip for a fillup a week or so in advance.

So what's the 'phone number for Skoda assist?  If I just 'phone the AA does that count?

Brijo - they don't have petrol in the Chilterns, 'cos everyone drives a diesel Chelsea Tractor!! :cocktail: Boom boom!!  Terribly common to have a petrol car yah know. :p

When you bought the car they should have given you a Skoda Assist leaflet with the phone number & T's & C's. And they used to give you a credit card sized card for your wallet (or handbag) just like the RAC & AA do.

If you've not got them (check the handbook book folder first), and as your car is presumably still new enough to be covered, give your selling dealer a call & ask him/her for the number & then suggest he/she sends out the missing stuff in the post .

Simples! :sun:

Skoda Asst 08457745745.........Bon voi arrrrrrrrrrrrg

You will have a credit card size card with the numbers for Skoda Assist as stated above.

Pull down your sun visor and tuck it in the place for it, then you've got it to hand when you need it.
If you phone the RAC first it could delay or jeopardise any warranty claims.

Did you know:

In the glove locker, on the right hand side, there is a very convenient clip for holding such cards.

That's another "I didn't know it did that" :nerd:

When I get back I will look for a card - don't remember such a thing though.  But I can just write the number down and put it in the surprise card holder in the glove box!!

Well, obviously my logic escapes yah!!  Yes, all I have to do is to write down the 'phone number - or has the card some magic qualities?  Perhaps its this lack of card which is attracting the ghost which sends my passenger window down all on its own?

   ROTFL
