strange noise

Featured Replies

And one thing i noticed since i changed my engine oil at my last service was i had a knocking noise which lasts 2 seconds at cold startup only. I used shell helix 15w40 now i used fuchs 15w40 and it disappeared. Starts much smoother also, gonna stick with fuchs oil at my oil changes

Did you change the oil filter too? That sounds to me much more like replacing a "return filter" with a "non return filter" which would make the oil pressure build faster, and give you instant oil flow in the head.

Non-return is a filter with a non-return valve, so that oil can't drain back from the head to the sump when the car's standing.

Ken, generic Wikipedia knowledge doesn't help here. Why do you keep spreading misleading clues that have nothing to do with Skoda Felicia? This is not a trivia contest.
