Bike (or car) cam

Featured Replies

Spotted this earlier. it gets a good review from techmoan too. looks like a good option if you want a bike mounted cam (rather than helmet cam) as you could put the unit under the seat/tank etc. so it doesn't get nicked. The lens unit is quite small so would work in cars too for someone wanting something unobtrusive. There's a 90 degree lens option too but it's more money (but still cheap)

I used to run a similar set up years ago on the bike had camera mounted under the headlight and intake on the ZZR1200 and the DVR under the seat hard wired in so ran automatically when bike turned on. It was a mega expensive set up at the time at £350 odd after a discount offer but was at the time very good quality with a Sony bullet cam on the end of the wire.

Loon! :D

Wouldn't have been a lot of use for this guy in Scunthorpe as the camera would have been past the action by then.

Thought you may recognise the location!

Don't recognise the roundabout at all, meant to be Scunny?

Scotter Road A1077 by the look of it although granted the roundabout is fairly new ie last 5 years or so.

That's about bang on when I moved away from the area phew! Thought I was loosing it there :D

I 'think' the rider is travelling from Britania corner along Scotter Road and the roundabout meets the road from the A18 and takes you up to the steel works Old Crosby area.  It may be older than five years and as many as ten as I am sure it was there when I was instructing because I think the Test centre was along there.

Scary how the car driver just didn't see the biker, even though he had a High Viz jacket on. I wonder if he was obscured by the cars A pillar? brilliant selfie stick he had on the rear of his bike facing forward though to capture it all  :D

Entering the roundabout far too fast to have a proper look or see anything.

didnt look like he'd have time to stop, even if he saw him. Although it doesnt look like he even went near the brake...
