Monte Carlo PSI?

Hi all

I need to pump my tyres up in my monte carlo but i cant see the recommended PSI anywhere? I have the standard black alloys that come with the car.

any help much appreciated!

Open the fuel cap

Look on the back of that (:

is 34 PSI ok? im a bit confused as on the filler cap it says something like 24?

Is that 2.4 BAR it shows,   so about 35 psi?

 

That is the sort of pressure you want.

It shows, driver / light car,  laden car etc.

Most electronic inflators at petrol stations toggle between psi and bar so you can't really go wrong

How accurate are petrol station air pumps?

How much variation results from the inevitable leak when removing the air line?

Idea!.

 

If paying 20 pence or 50 pence for the use of the pumps which are pretty accurate, 

why not get value for money. put more air in than you need, 

then let the tyres back down to the pressure you want using your 'more accurate tyre pressure gauge'

Exactly what we do when out karting

Overfill with compressor then let out with proper tyre gauge

For an unladen car with 17" wheels my Monte shows the pressures need to be 2.0 BAR for the fronts and 2.1 for the rears.

How accurate is any air pump? Not just the service station ones!

Unless your lightening fast taking the inflator off the valve there is always going to be a tiny bit of air leak
