  • An M2 and a toy boy. I like       If we were drooling over a fast Ford, would that make me a Ford 'Cougar'?             Coat on and already out the door

  • Interested? Yes.   Can I afford one? Heck no! :p   It looks like a cracker, but I personally don't see it being a major success. I think potential customers may either:   Stump up more for an M4

  • Some images from tinterweb                       Similar to the M135/235 except for bits of carbon, DCT wand and nicer paddle shifts             Seats look like standa

I was going to go down actually, but didn't get on the list in time.

Then they added more capacity to the list, and didn't email those on the reserve list. Bit annoying really.

Is it correct that the official UK launch of the M2 is 16th April 2016?

Obviously very limited available to view in UK Dealerships.

I believe it's around that date. April anyway.

I would expect larger city dealerships to have one as a demo. They're just each getting a very small allocation to actually place orders against, at least initially through to the end of 2016.

Supply vs. demand, and all that :)

over on Baby BMW there has been a lot of chat about how the dealers are struggling to get a Demo car and even quite large dealerships are only getting 2-3 cars for sale in the first year. I do know a man who should have his M2 by the time I next see him in April, so I'll wait and see if it actually turns up or not :D

I have to be honest, a (plain diesel) 2 series tourer thingy past me on the motorway today and i couldnt help notice once it was 50yds ahead of me, it couldve been the back of a C-Max i was looking at. And the front as it aproached from mire than 100yds back in rearview couldve been an old merc sprinter.. it aint a pretty vehicle, m badges or not...

I'd agree but I also have to say it has no relation to an M2 :D

no doubt, just didnt know where else to park my opinion on the other yoke :D

I wouldn't even pay the asking price for the BMW branded baby buggies  of £525 ( Shown on TV last night) , as the std buggy made by the same company was around £260, only real difference , BMW badges on the wheel hubs & the lock on the harness.

P.S. you a salesperson for BMW now by any chance ?

I'm missing the link between that, and the M2???

Do they do an M2 Baby buggy? If they do, it's probably as close to owning the real thing as I'll ever get.

I doubt they'd have me as I couldn't sell the 2 series family wagon jobbie to anyone, at least not with a clear conscience

Today was press embargo lifting day!

Evo review is pretty promising too, but needs a proper UK road test really.

Yes ^^ I was secretly hoping they would say its a great car but you should save your money and get the M235/135. Now it looks like it is everything I hoped and possibly more beside and I can't afford one :(

Reviews are looking good. Definitely something I'm considering saving for. Getting fed up of running 2 cars now and want to own one that does more. It's this or a few others I'm thinking of but It's a year or two off yet

Looking good, in a selfish way, I hope it takes the lime light of the M135i/235i somewhat...so I can slip in and get a good used one for a good price rather than some of the stupid prices I'm seeing for them presently.

M2 is out of the question, that I'm just about to become mortgaged up to my eyeballs lol

Even if I could afford one, I cant see how I would actually get a hold of one. Perhaps they will up the numbers in the final year of production and if I am lucky.......

I could always ransom my George Clooney that is locked up in the basement?

2017 could be your year for one :D
