How to set the keys to remember seat position

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am new around here, just purchased a superb 2 which is a badass and I am loving it. However I am facing a few issues: the key to it is set to a certain seat position and even though i adjust the seat and even seem to save it by hitting set and within 10 seconds tapping the 1 button so that it would get saved to button 1,however when locking the door and opening the previously saved seat position doesn't get applied but the one from the previous owner which he had set. Can you please help me with that? How could I reset the current seat setup that is tied to the key and how could I permanently set a new seat position?

Thanks so much for any help!

Does it bong to say it's saved, key must be ignition and when press sett it bongs then take out and press unlock keep pressed it bongs again

Yes it does make that noise! I was happy to have saved it finally when in reality i did not. The question I think is how would one go about saving a seat position so that it gets "attached“ to the key that is currently being used.

Okay, so I should try: start the car, adjust the seat, press set and within 10 secs press button 1,stop the car, take key out and press unlock and hold until bongs again.

Is this correct please? Thanks so much for your help, really appreciate it!

Yes that's it sometimes it does not work and Windows come down but redo it , redone this recently as my wife's new car not turned up yet so she has a different seat position and mirrors to mine to her keyfob

Thank you, will definitely try it tomorrow. Is this by the way the only way to do it? I thought there would be a formal way which would work 100% of the time.

This works:

Ign on

Press SET and hold down position button

Wait for bong

Ign off

Open drivers door

press unlock

Indicators flash

<saved to key>
