Reverse camera for MY2013

Featured Replies

Is it possible to retrofit OEM reverse camera which is available for MY2016?

No OEM retroffit solution?

Yes, but then you need to change trunk lid and paint it and a new roof spoiler, totaly cost aprox 2000£ or you buy orginal trunk handle with camera and the cables for 180£ and use the dremel on rear lid so the handle will fit. 1h jobb and dont forget some protection for rust.

Could you please explain second solution in details.

Octavia III MY13-14 have a handle hole thats 2x7,5cm if I remember correct.

MY15-* has a bigger handle hole (3x10 or something like that)

Therefor you will need to cut the handle hole to be able to install my15 handle with rvc.

After you have done the "cut" you will have bare metal and that will start to rust in contact with mist/water, paint it or use other rust stopper.

Let it dry connect the cables to mib unit (glovebox) and drag it in the roof sealing (easiest) and attach the rvc handle, connect the power source to reiverce light socket.

Activate rvc with vcds and change reiverce light source to led (see link above).

By this you will have a rvc without moving guide lines.

If you want moving guide lines you need rvc high module aprox 100£ extra and drag new power cables from fusebox to the new module and then connect camera to module.

My opinion: buy lowline its way mutch simple to install.
