Hi all,

 

collected my new RS230 yesterday and WOW!!!  

 

Here are some pics I took.

 

Shame I had to fly away on holiday last night and won't enjoy the car again till I get home on 4th January.

 

The extra options I picked were:

Amundsen,

Light pack

Adaptive cruise with front assist

Lane assist

Canton

DSG

Heated front screen and washers

Heated rear seats

Mirrorlink

Extra underbody protection

Lights in rear footwells

 

I was unsure whether I made the right choice getting an automatic with the paddle shift but after getting in and driving I wouldn't go back to manual  The DSG is great when you're lazy in stop start traffic, and the paddle shift is absolutely brilliant when you want to throttle it.

 

I was also unsure whether to go petrol or diesel, but in the end went for the petrol 230.  Yes, diesel is more fuel efficient, but then again an RS isn't really about being fuel efficient...for me anyway.

 

What I really love....is having to turn the steering wheel very little in order to get full lock on.  I also bought some 18" Proline aftermarket alloys for my winter tyres (Michelin), which the dealer fitted for me.  They were a bit cheaper than the standard Skoda offering and I wanted to make it look a bit different.

Mine the bargain basement version of yours styling wise, 2014 car with canton and amundsen satnav and lights, but the rest is all yours so many extras you have plus the extra hp and ediff thingy !

Those proline aftermarket alloys are very reminiscent of the old Spiders. (I have these on my Fabia vRS).

Country is Slovakia, these are just temporary licence plates before registering the car.  We can use these dealer supplied plates for up to 2 weeks to give time for registering car.  It's been registered since pics were taken.

Oh I see. In Croatia we have test plates but they are in form of stickers.
