Hello - wishing all members a Prosperous New Year for 2016

I have a Skoda Octavia II 2006, L&K, love this car, had this nearly 3 years now on 194K, 127K when I bought it from a dealer who fitted a  new DM flywheel and discs plus a service in for the price of £3500.  I have replaced the rear shoxs and uprated springs, change oil & filters every 8K, just done cambelt, water pump and aux belt/alt clutch.  A few more issues to deal with but I enjoy solving problems, parts reasonable from third party vendors.  New front struts and springs waiting to go on the front end, and a noisy rear bearing to deal with.  So I apprecaite all the shared information on this site, I ahve found it really useful and thought it about time I joined.  Been a long time member of A2OC with my wifes A2 which we have owned for more than 10 years, 110K now, great little car !

Greetings to all. I am a fairly long time Skoda owner.  I started with a Fabia 1.4 comfort in petrol green, and progressed to a 1.4 Roomster in aqua, a really nice car, especially for my two Labs, who travel safely behind the excellent dog guard.  In the next few weeks I will be taking delivery of my new Yeti 1.2 tsi SE L DSG in Jungle Green with quite a few nice extras.  As this will be my first non-manual car in many years, I will have to carefully try out the brakes to see how fierce they are, and I've even googled 'hill starts in an auto', to remind me of what used to be second nature.
