Possible new owner - questions

Featured Replies

Hi Thanks to all who contributed here - i put the deposit down on a Yeti today - 14 plate Elegance in white with the 140 bhp engine and 4x4.  Will be picking up in a week or so once they have done a couple of things for me.

So I will be joining this formum and leaving the Fabia forum.  It will be sad to let the little car go, had so much fun with it over the years.  So if you know of anyone who wants a great 54 plate vRS then tell them to get in touch.  I will be advertising it on here once I upgrade my membership

See you soon

It's second hand?

How many miles?.

yeti is 2nd hand and has 7000 miles

Fabia is 1 owner only - me and 85000 miles

We had a Honda Jazz/Fit which had the best (non-removable) folding seat system for those wanting a load carrier; economical and boringly reliable.

I had three Honda Jazz (or should it be Jazzes?! ) and I really miss being able to lift the rear seat base against the rear seat backrest to get a substantial "interior load area" in the floor behind the front seats.

If it was an option on the Yeti, I'd go for it.

You will be happy with this choice. We p/exed a Fabia diesel, excellent car. Bought new Yeti 140 diesel 4x4SE manual and the car is now 5+years old with 40000miles. No problems and our 8000miles a year is a mix of reasonably long runs and lots of short trips. No dpf problems at all. Car has returned an accurate 44mpg (maxidot is 10%or so optimistic). We tow a large trailer from time to time, so appreciate the torque. Yeti has even towed my 2WD tractor out of the mire!

great fun to drive and plenty of room all round.

I have ordered a spare tyre and kit for it as well so dont have the nightmare of being stranded

I will let you know how we go with it - first scout camp is in March so looking forward to loading it up for that trip

Thanks for all the help and ideas on this thread
