Cutting out on hills

Thank you all for all your suggestions, I have now solved the problem. I took the pump out last night and undone the clips holding it together. I then turned it upside down and there was a kind of sleeve inside which slid out to reveal what looked like a little pellet of gunk. After I removed it I washed all the pump out with some petrol and put it all back together and now it runs like a dream.

once again thank you all for the suggestions.

That is normal after disconnecting the battery. You just need to reset the one touch function as follows...

With the window in the fully up position pull and hold the window switch into the up position again, you should hear a small click from the motor.

One touch is now set for that window.

Thank you for this information I will try this later as soon as I leave work.

Do You mean the sender unit in the tank ?

I was also a bit confused as I understood the only fuel pump on the sdi is at the back end of the injection pump - presume what is being described as the pump is, as you say, the fuel level sender.

It was the unit which is in side the tank, I just assumed that it was called the pump because when I looked on ebay for a replacement, the one I found which was the same as mine was listed as 1.9 sdi fuel pump.
