How high spec can you go

Featured Replies

£10.99 for G1, did 3 cars with 15ml so even including shipping that's around £5 per car for 12+ months of use so not to bad.

Before the XOPC silicone wipers I used Bosch ones at around £20 a pair, change them every year as they don't last and so I am now in profit using the silicone wipers which are still going strong with no sign of failing.

Oh ok i thought 15mls wouldn't do much, based on how much rain x ive used in the past :P

 - i see your point with the vs bosch ones,

Do you do loads of miles? my Bosch seem to be doing well.

15,000 to 20,000 a year depending on work etc.

With the G1 less is more so does not take much to do a windscreen.

Can we rename this thread what wipers should I buy please? Thanks :)

"How High spec can you go" He didn't say he wasn't interested in premium wiper performance!!   :D

Well I reckon I'm covered for wipers anyway, lol

Currently a set of heated seats on eBay, unfortunately it might be a little premature to buy them

Where is the auto dimming mirror from?

I was thinking the same as above, tried to find some but gave up in the end.

I was thinking of fitting a genuine one from a Bora highline or high spec golf.

Thanks for that duck

Are there any replacement steering wheels that can be fitted in order to have integrated radio controls, obviously this will require a change in radio as well

Not easily. Aftermarket radio controls can be bought and fitted but OEM ones such as the Ibiza fr are a chew on to fit and work. I tried it and the standard symphony radio does work with the controls when I tried it in my FR.

So I'm probably better off replacing head unit that comes with a control stalk, ideally something with Bluetooth etc as well. My last car had the sat nav unit, but tbh the nav wasn't up to much and without maxidot it would be pretty pointless

Think I'll research some head units etc

In my opinion RainX is not very good as it only lasts a few days (a week if your lucky), the stuff I use actually does what it says on the tin i.e. it lasts at least 12 months, if I drive a car that does not have it I sure notice the difference:

You'll also need G4 for the intial clean and want G5 for the side glass too. Fortunately that's a lot easier to apply.
