Comfort Indicator

Featured Replies

So I coded the comfort indicator to 4 flashes and notice this is in the post regarding doing it:

"Edit: You may need to set your lights back to factory default in the infotainment unit before this change takes effect"

Its still flashing 3 times, so I guess I need to do the above - question is how?  I turned off comfort indicator in the Amundsen menus and turned it back on with no change......

What am I missing?

I had this same problem yesterday.

From what I remember, to reset the lights back to factory default I pressed the 'Car' button on the Bolero unit >> then the options (looks like a cog) button on the touch screen >> then I pressed 'Factory Settings' >> from there I just selected the Lights option to reset the Light settings only and confirmed it.

This did the trick for me. Afterwards had to re-do a couple of settings that I had adjusted, such as how late the automatic lights come on but this only took a few seconds to change back.

Hope that helps.

As above ......

On ocassional drives the comfort indicator flashes 3 times, but on others its the 4 I've coded......what the hell???!!

Comfort indicator? Really?  As in your b*m must now be sore as you have driven for 3hrs non-stop? ;;:)

Um, no. It's the number of times the indicators flash without fully depressing the stalk.

Same key! Went to Isle of Wight sat, was 3 flashing, came back Sunday was back to normal, bizarre!

Think my manual refers to it as convenience rather than comfort, but I suppose they are not too unlike. I get flustered when I accidentally trigger the process- moving the stalk the other way only succeeds in giving three flashes on the opposite side.

Small world, I have just spent 2 weeks on the IoW at Whitecliff Bay, came back on the Friday just before you!

If you saw an idiot bombing round in a white Audi Q7 that would have been me :)

Still does this quite often.  One day its 3 flashes the next day or later same day its back to the 4 I set.  How on earth can it be doing it when nothing else changes!?

Are you using the same key each day?

Yeah, of the two keys my wife has one and I do and we only use our specific keys! It’s bizarre!

OK - I could understand it if you kept swapping keys as comfort indicator is linked to driver profiles which are linked to keys.

On my car, the option comes up on the Maxidot to select the driver, in addition to the key specific coding. Perhaps next time the indicator changes from 3 to 4 flashes or vice-versa, check the personalisation menu to see who is actually "driving"?
