Amundsen upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all thanks for accepting me to the forum...I have a 2006 octavia ambient 1.9 tdi and just fitted Amundsen sat nav unit to car.all works perfectly phone, sat nav,cd,but seems to be draining battery over night.is there anything I can do to stop it....checked wiring block at back of radio and all the same...help..lol..Skoda dealer didn't really want to know....

I suspect that you'll need an updated Gateway to solve that problem but someone will be along shortly with more details regarding what to do.

Yep, as said it's the fact that the cars Canbus and the new unit are not compatible (they don't talk to each other properly). You need a newer version gateway to make everything speak the same language, and then recode it all to work correctly. It's a weel known issue and has been well documented on the forum if you search for battery drain Columbus (different unit, same problem) you should find the answers you need.

Hi,

i own Amundsen+ and i have maps.

is there any way to get into the car without the original sd card?

Thanks
